Saša Babič
Saša Babič is a research fellow at the Research Centre of the Slovenian Academy of Sciences and Arts, in the Institute of Slovenian Ethnology. She is a folklorist, researching short folklore forms, i.e. greetings, swearing, proverbs, riddles, incantations, praying etc., their text usage and cultural meanings as well as their integration in folklore events and communication. She is author of two books in Slovenian: Beseda ni konj (ZRC SAZU, 2015) and Uganke na Slovenskem (ZRC SAZU, 2021). Her first contact with humour research started with researching riddles, where humour often plays an important role. Nowadays she is interested in communication via humour, and semiotics of humour.
