Władysław Chłopicki
Władysław Chłopicki is Professor of Linguistics and Translation at the Department of English Studies at the Jagiellonian University in Kraków. He is past president of the International Society for Humor Studies (ISHS), founding editor of the European Journal of Humour Research, and the author and editor of numerous books and articles on linguistics, intercultural communication and humor, including Humorous Discourse (De Gruyter 2017), Communicational Styles. Culture’s Software (Cambridge Scholars 2015) and Polish Humour (Tertium 2012) – all co-edited with Dorota Brzozowska.
